MAUI LICIOUS

The Teri-Licious sauce was created 75 years ago in Kihei, Maui, when the Azeka family shared with their neighbors, the Medeiros family, a recipe for a teriyaki sauce.  From there, they started a tradition of making a special teri sauce that was shared with family and friends.  For many years Dr. Charles R. Medeiros (Dr. Chuck)  bottled and sold  their trademarked Teri-Licious sauces in grocery stores around the country.  

In  2000, Dr Chuck was contacted by a jerky maker seeking to purchase a 5 gallon bucket of their trademark Teri~Licious sauce.  Instead, Dr. Chuck started making his own jerky using this sauce as the base marinade for all of their four flavors (Original, Sweet N Spicy, Teriyaki, Hot) and Maui-Licious was born.  The name paid tribute to the island where he grew up and the place where the recipe was perfected.

In 2019 Chuck formally retired @ 85 years old and we are proud to continue offering his brand to our customers.  Tender, moist, and flavorful jerky.  As one reviewer said of the Sweet n Spicy flavor, "The taste, texture, and aroma are top- notch all the way!"
